If you’ve listened to my podcast, Simply Authentic, then you may have heard about the Empowerment Movement. You may have also heard how I feel that the movement as a whole has a few shortcomings with regards to who needs to feel empowered.
While I strongly agree that women need an empowerment movement, I also feel that it’s not just women that need to feel empowered. Yes, men already dominate most industries, but when I think of an Empowerment Movement, I’m not thinking about jobs. I’m thinking about humanity as a whole. The very essence of who we really are and what we all strive to be.
Humanity As a Whole
I don’t believe that just helping women to be empowered is what humanity needs. I don’t think that’s big enough.
We all need to have a voice and to feel more empowered to question the way we do things. We need to feel safe to come up with new ways ideas and to question the status quo. Is doing it the same way as we have before good enough anymore?
The Empowerment Movement needs to be about all of humanity stepping in to change the world as we know it today.
Imagine what we could do if men, women, children, business leaders, corporations, politicians, gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals, transgenders, homeless, disabled…people from all walks of life, all believed that they could make a difference? Imagine what could happen if they just believed they could change their life?
We all possess everything we need to create change in our lives and the lives around us.
What If All It Takes is Six People?
I’m sure you’ve heard of 6-degrees of separation. What if the Empowerment Movement could be that simple?
I believe it can. With the proper training or guidance, I believe every living person can make a difference. We all have the ability, we just need a little help understanding the HOW.
If you are at all intrigued and interested in learning more, stay tuned. I’m still in the midst of discovering my message and how to help others experience what I know is possible and what I have experienced in my own life. But when I’m ready, I’d love for you to be among the first to know.
